Why we rank by hearts, not money

If you've used the older server-listing sites, you know the feeling: the servers at the top are too often the ones that paid the most, not the ones players actually love. For an audience that's spent years being sold pay-to-rank lists, that gap is the whole problem.

Our one promise

Rankings are never for sale. Hearts — and only hearts — decide the order on every leaderboard. One heart per player, per server, per day, with detected fraud filtered out.

The one thing money can buy

We're not pretending money plays no part — that would be dishonest, and dishonesty is the thing we're fixing. The daily Spotlight is a promoted slot a server can bid on. It's always labelled as promoted, shown separately from the rankings, and never changes a server's rank. Being straight about the one thing money buys is how you can trust everything it can't.
